I write YA Sci/Fi-Fantasy under R E Sheahan, so when my sister encouraged me to write a story about an idea I had, a veterinarian with animal communication skills, I chose the pen name, LIsa Shay. I live on the coast in the Pacific Northwest with a rescued terrier mix named Annie. I have been a paramedic/fire captain, a rancher-commercial cattle and show sheep-where I also ran a border collie rescue. As a kid, I could always be found at the stable where my horses were boarded. I’d love to be able to have a horse again, and at least one more dog… or more!
I’m a Star Wars and Star Trek fan, and I just might believe in Bigfoot!
